So Much Excitement!!!

Those of you who have read Mum's blog will know the exciting news already, so I'll summarise: I won a national competition which means I get to go work for Urban Myth (the theatre company I'm currently working for) FULL TIME for a year! As part of this competition I was flown to Sydney for the induction. Here I am with the other three winners. Will share more about the competition after the media release on Monday :)

Whilst in Sydney I managed to catch up with Cheyne and Mel and see my friend from primary school and high school, Sarah. Although it was a rushed visit it was great to touch base and share in their lives.

Below is Cheyne's MASSIVE fish, simply called 'Cheyne's Fish'. This thing is gigantic. I've never seen such a fat goldfish in such a small tank.

Out to dinner with Cheyne and Mel at their favourite Chinese restaurant.

Just before I left to go see Sarah.

Here she is! Just beaming and thriving in her new 'habitat'. I'm so proud of you, Sarah. Good move, literally :) And you're looking GREAT in YELLOW ;) :D

Sarah and I took a 'short drive'. She assured me she knew the way...Hahah...don't worry, Sarah - I enjoyed your company :) We drove to...

NIDA (the National Institute of Dramatic Arts)!!! Yes, that's right. When people ask, I will say I went to NIDA. For 40 minutes. For YEARS I've heard 'NIDA this' and 'NIDA that' - you love it or you hate it. Although I know nothing about the place as an educational institution it was great to consolidate the buzzing, surreal aura around the place with real buildings and people.

Perhaps even more exciting was wandering through the place, looking at photos. As I wandered over to the pictures of current directing students I saw this face:
Those in Florida may remember SHANNON MURPHY from our production of Dancing at Lughnasa (see below, on my left)!!!! I was gobsmacked - what are the chances?!?! So I've emailed her to get the inside goss on how life really is inside the walls of this mysterious institution...exciting!

But the excitement didn't end there...look what awaited me when I returned home:

On our honeymoon Jordan brought with him a brochure about this piano, promising it to me as our wedding gift...Have I married a Prince or WHAT?! Thank you, honey.
Now you all must come visit and hear JORDAN tinkering away in the study :)
My, I am a very spoilt girl.
