A big day...

So today we accomplished quite a bit. We woke up at around 8am and headed out to the Barossa Valley where we ate lunch at the Lyndoch Bakery. It was there we enjoyed perhaps the world's best hot apple pie. We then poked around for some things and headed to Williamstown to see the Barossa Valley Reservoir. It is home to the Whispering Wall which is reasonably enchanting. I encourage you to check out the link.

Afterwards, we headed back to the City for an appointment I made. An appointment for a HAIRCUT. Last haircut I had was June 10, 2006. That's 441 days or 1 year, 2 months, and 15 days. Ellie insisted before and after photos were taken. After nagging me to cut my hair, she tonight revealed she liked my hair better long.....

And after....

When we got home, it wasn't too long before Rikki, Kristin, Joshua and Simeon came around! Rikki was kind enough to bring his whipper snipper (an edge trimmer or wheed wacker for the American readers) and cut our strip of lawn. The lawn hadn't been mowed for some months and was long enough to lose a small child or animal in! We then busied outselves wish washing and vacuuming the car, washing clothes, vacuuming the house, cleaning the kitchen, folding washing, changing the bed sheets, and making dinner. As the day comes to a close we are about to watch 'Reign Over Me'.

Good night ...

Man, Jordy, those ringlets! The things you will do to make a point - few people in the world would count the number of days between haircuts in quite such an exact way... also shows a scary amount of stubborn!

The Whispering Wall brings back happy childhood memories for me. My family visited when I was about 10. Thanks for the photos! Rach.
